Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a life casting session take?

Most life casting sessions last around 30-45 minutes, depending on the type of casting and how many casts are being created. I always allow plenty of time so the session feels relaxed and unhurried.

Is the casting process safe?

Yes - all materials used are skin-safe and suitable for babies and children. The process is completely safe, and I’ll guide you through each step on the day.

What if my baby is unsettled?

That’s absolutely fine. If your baby needs feeding, changing, or a cuddle during the session, we’ll simply pause and go at their pace. If you have one, baby carriers can be helpful to bring along if your little one enjoys being in them.

What should we wear?

I’ll cover clothing as much as possible, but please wear something you won’t mind getting a little messy, just in case.

Do you offer home appointments?

Yes, I can offer home appointments in the area, get in touch before booking to check availability.

Do I need to choose frames or colours in advance?

No - there’s no need to decide anything beforehand. We’ll go through all frame and colour options together during your appointment.

Can I take photos during the session?

Yes, you’re very welcome to take photos or videos during your session if you’d like to capture the experience.

Where is your workshop located?

My workshop is based in the garden of my home in Picket Piece, Andover. Full directions and parking details are sent in your booking confirmation.

Is parking available?

Yes, there is parking available right outside the property.

How and when do I pay?

Final payment is taken at your appointment. I accept card payments, cash, or bank transfer, and your booking deposit will be deducted from the final amount.

When will my cast be ready?

Your finished cast will be ready within 4–6 weeks of your session. You’ll receive a message once it’s ready for collection.

What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

I understand that life with babies and families can be unpredictable. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I kindly ask for 48 hours notice. Booking deposits are non-refundable, as they secure your session time, but I’m always happy to reschedule your appointment where notice is given. If you’re feeling unwell or have an emergency, please get in touch and we’ll work out the best solution together.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes, gift vouchers are available and make a lovely present for new parents or families. Please get in touch.

Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured for life casting sessions, for your peace of mind.
